ABOUT THE BAND

Straight out of Tokyo, Japan, Izmatik is a powerhouse progressive metal band uniting musicians from across the globe. With members hailing from Japan, the United States, Spain, and Australia, they bring a dynamic fusion of influences to their hard-hitting sound.

Founded by bassist Jeff Curry, Izmatik blends elements of jazz, fusion, and thrash metal into a style that is both intricate and aggressive. Their songs range from epic anthems to blistering thrash pieces, with lyrical themes exploring dystopian futures, individual empowerment, and abstract concepts.

Their journey kicked off with the release of their debut EP, Volt Vein, which secured their spot in Tokyo’s vibrant music scene and built anticipation for more. On October 15, 2022, they delivered with Mystery Step, a full-length album that earned glowing reviews and international recognition. Keeping their momentum strong, Izmatik released the explosive single Chaos Cocoon on February 6, 2024, followed by the anthemic Dauntless on August 22, 2024.
